Tomoyuki Asakawa (朝川朋之) - Endless Tide (ゆくえなき夜に), and 「夢」~Dream are two of my favourite harp-based Nu-expressionist albums. They spell the name wrong on spotify. I listen to this guy whenever I need some pondering

https://djrozwell.bandcamp.com/album/none-of-this-is-real
John Hicks - After The Morning
Missy Mazzoli: Dark with Excessive Bright: Concerto for Contrabass and String Orchestra: i volunteered to perform at a concert organised by under 30's musicians at the Brum Symphony Hall expecting the setlist to be a bit subpar but they performed this and I may have cried a little. sidenote they played some Philipp Glass and most of my colleagues preferred that i personally don't care for him and then they played Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra (https://www.gabrielprokofiev.com/concerto-for-turntables-and-orchestra-no1-2006, written by Sergei Prokofiev's grandson, some other family member was in the audience) and that was pretty good too but the "old guard" didn't rate it which is why the youth concert was organised in the first place... old guard at classical concerts is dying out and youth can't pay for/don't want to see the same 20 pieces on the roster since the 20th century. there is a thing to be said for gatekeeping the classical concerts because look at what happened to movie theatres but if all the pensioners die out without a small injection of youth there won't be enough revenue from ticket sales to pay the performers.
Matt Elliott - The Broken Man, whole album is really cool and spooky with nylon string i aspire to be this expressive
Edward Elgar - Give unto the Lord: i performed this with 2 other choirs in st. paul's cathedral for the song's 100th anniversary, it hassuch variety of expression and has one of the warmest little organ breaks i've ever heard i cry every time i hear it
